All classes begin and end with a guided awareness of the body while you are in yoga's pose of deep relaxation called "Shavasana". In this pose we use blankets to raise your knees so that your spine leans more fully into the support of the floor. This begins the deep internal release of muscles surrounding the spine. After Shavasana, we begin moving through various poses to warm-up and decompress your spine from the tailbone all the way up through the spine to your neck and shoulders. The class ends with a final Shavasana (relaxation) along with a smiliar guided awareness. At the end of class, you will find that your body has changed and that your are enjoying the differences.
No experience necessary! Newcomers to yoga are welcome just as are seasoned yoga students. The teacher's clear instructions and personal attention combiled with the use of props gives every student access to the poses being taught in every class.

Class times may vary somewhat, but they are typically 90 minutes.
See our Current Calendar page and Rates page for specifics.
Our 2nd floor studio is elevator accessible, with a large free parking lot adjacent to the building.
While you relax, fully clothed, in simple yoga poses, the Yoga Therapist places their hands on pivitol points on the body to facilitate profound release of deeply stored tension in the muscles that connect around the spine. This release of tension travels up through the whole length of the torso into the lumbar and thoracic spine and finally into the hands, feet and head.
No yoga experience required.
Your internal sense of awareness deepens, and your body's own healing ability is awakened and enhanced. This healing continues long after the treatment has ended. One Session will result in a feeling of deep relaxation and rejuvenation.
A Series of Sessions will provide great benefit in treating CHRONIC PAIN and other long-standing conditions that yoga poses alone cannot reach.
